PRE-CEREMONY PREPARATION

We recommend following this protocol for several days leading up to, including the day of, and following the ceremony.

• Get plenty of rest and stay hydrated.

• Avoid processed sugars, dairy, gluten, and red meat.

Medication and supplements should be discussed individually with the team.

• Refrain from taking 5-HTP, St. John’s Wort, and Passionflower for at least 3 days prior to the ceremony.

• Refrain from consuming alcohol for 2 weeks prior. If this isn’t possible, please abstain for a minimum of 3 days before.

• Avoid alcohol for a minimum of 1 week after the ceremony. The optimal timeframe is 2 weeks.

For anyone traveling to British Columbia for a ceremony or retreat:

• Do not book any travel arrangements until your intake form has been reviewed and approved.

• 1-Day Ceremony: You will not be able to travel long distances immediately after the ceremony. Please book accommodations for that night and plan to travel home the following day.

• Multi-Day Retreats: Please contact concierge@intronaut.com for retreat start and end times to arrange your travel accordingly.

CEREMONY INTENT

Set your intent before the ceremony - Ivan and Lana will help you to refine your intent with their guidance on the day of ceremony.

  • The intent is the conscious force that gives direction and meaning to any action, like the way an archer’s focus shapes the arrow’s flight. Without intent, a ceremony—or any act—becomes a hollow gesture, drifting aimlessly like an arrow shot into the sky. It might look impressive for a moment, but it lacks purpose and eventually falls back without impact.

When you aim intent at a target, though, it’s like aligning your energy, will, and clarity toward something specific. The ceremony then becomes a vehicle for that focus, amplifying its power and grounding it in reality. Intent isn’t just a starting point—it’s the thread that ties the whole act together, determining whether it resonates or fizzles out.
